It is no secret that the workmanship and quality of new-Build houses is poor and not completed to the highest standard. Developers expect a full snagging list from you before you’ve even had time to unpack and will often try to confuse you with technical terms or tolerances, expecting you to put up with a substandard quality. We offer a New Build Snagging Inspection in areas across England Wales, investing in high end technology such as Thermal Heat Imaging to ensure all issues are rectified.

PRE-COMPLETION INSPECTION

Pre-Completion Inspection (PCI) follows a specific checklist designed by the NHQB (New Homes Quality Board) to provide homeowners yet to move in with a list specifying a list of areas where the property has not met standards.
The PCI is only suitable pre-completion and is issued within just 48 hours.

POST COMPLETION INSPECTION

A Post Completion Inspection is a more in-depth and detailed report as it is not restricted to the the NHQB checklist; rather expanded to include issues that are out of tolerance according to the standards of the NHBC and Building Regulations.
​This survey is only carried out after completing (unless consent granted by developer) and is issued within 5 working days

RE-INSPECTION

Our re-inspection is suitable for customers that have already had a Pre or Post Completion Inspection and want a second visit before the end of their warranty offered by the builder (typically 2 years). We check that the most important snags raised in the very first report are rectified, and raise any new issues that may have developed (e.g. from the settlement of the property). How quickly will I get my report?

You will receive your report within 5 working days after the site inspection. If you require a rush service please let us know.

When is the best time to have a snagging survey?

The best time would be 1 week before completion. Unfortunately builders can deny access until you have the keys, in this case we ask for you to book us for the day after.

Can I have a snagging inspection done after I move in?

Yes, you have 2 years after completion to report any snags to the house builder who must rectify them free of charge. Our snagging service will provide you with a visual survey so you are able to get the repairs done without fuss.

Why should I have a snagging survey?

Due to the increasing amount of houses developers are needing to build to meet their quota, short cuts can be taken to meet demand, leaving houses unsafe and with mistakes that could cost thousands down the line. Our inspections give you peace of mind, knowing that you are able to provide the house builder with evidence of works that need to be rectified and completed.
